Doctors Neil Shulman and James Reed are renowned physicians and humanitarians. In their latest book they address the disparity between black men’s health and that of other ethnic groups. They discuss in plain English the latest information on heart disease, high blood pressure and stroke, prostate problems, aging, depression, nutrition, fatherhood, AIDS, how to find less expensive healthcare, and other important topics.

This book helps answer questions such as: Why do black men die on average 7 years earlier than their white counterparts? Why are black men more likely to die from heart disease and most cancers than other ethnic groups? Why do black men account for a disproportionate number of HIV/AIDS cases in the U.S.?

Black Man’s Guide to Good Health is excellent and all men - from all walks of life- will live longer and healthier lives after reading it. I support it!”
